William Diehl

William H. Diehl was born 9/15/1934 in Wheeling WV.  William was the oldest of 4 children, George, Bob, and Louise. He served in the Army from 1958-1963 as part of the Army Corp of Engineers and spent time in Germany in the early 1960's. Eventually he ended up in Illinois where he was a career truck driver. In the early 80's he met and in 1984 he married, Lola M Duhame,  Lola who passed in 2008, was mother to three kids, Sue, Ed and Karen, He helped raise them and had a profound impact on their lives from when they were all very young. He is survived by those three step kids and two nephews (Scott & Steve) and a niece Dawn, plus 7 grandchildren.

William enjoyed having Karen around so much, that when times were bad, she came to live with him and Lola. As time passed Karen married Michael Konigsfeld and continued living here with Bill and Lola. Once Lola passed it was just Bill and Karen and her family. He was so grateful to have Karen and Michael here, keeping him company, raising the family together. William was a great man and will be truly missed by all.
